Super Saturday is on the way, bringing superheroes, famous cars, family activities and a giant Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from the Ghostbusters to Chatham.
This free event, presented by Child-Friendly Medway, will transform the High Street and the Pentagon Shopping Centre into a hub of family fun on Saturday, 29 August.
Medway families will have the opportunity to get up close and take pictures with some of cinema’s classic cars, embark on a hero-themed trail and even design their own masks before meeting their favourite superheroes.
Medway Council services and partners will also be in attendance, showing you how they support families in Medway.
A day of fun
Cllr Adam Price, Portfolio Holder for Children’s Services, said: “Super Saturday is a fantastic event, and we encourage as many families as possible to make their way to Chatham for a day of fun, but also a chance to find out about the fantastic work that the Child-Friendly Medway team are doing.
“However, there’s more than just fun to be had, as this event also marks the last opportunity for children and young people to vote for our first ever Young Mayor, making sure their voices are heard and helping Medway to become even more child-friendly. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone there!”
Super Saturday is delivered in partnership with Love Chatham, the Pentagon Shopping Centre, and is partially funded through the Medway Together Fund.
